As the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series heads to Nashville Superspeedway for the first time this season, the 2014 Cup champion Kevin Harvick shared his insights and picked the driver he thinks will win this weekend’s race. Harvick went with a Trackhouse Racing driver to secure his first win of the season in Sunday’s (June 30) Ally 400 at Nashville Superspeedway.
On his eponymous “Kevin Harvick’s Happy Hour” podcast, the former driver-turned-commentator explored a detailed analysis of the driver he believes will be in contention to win at the Nashville race on Sunday.
According to Kevin Harvick, the #1 Trackhouse Racing driver Ross Chastain will win the custom guitar trophy again at Nashville. Chastain is the defending winner of the Ally 400; he won the race after beating Martin Truex Jr. in the closing laps in 2023.
Predicting the 2024 Ally 400 winner on his podcast, Harvick said:
“I'm going with last year's winner, Ross Chastain. I think it's Hometown lot of lot of people, just a it's kind of a different racetrack. I don't think they've run as good as they need to run, but he's just been knocking out decent finishes, and I think that this racetrack is unique enough to get somebody like Ross in contention to win.”
Harvick’s co-hosts, Kaitlyn Vincie, picked Josh Berry due to his recent solid P3 finish at New Hampshire.
“I'm going with Josh Berry ride the momentum from this week,” Vincie said.
While co-host Mamba Smith picked the #48 Hendrick Motorsports driver Alex Bowman to win on Sunday, Smith said:
“I'm going to go with Alex Bowman and Blake Harrison, the #48 Ally team, love it's their it's their yeah, it's their allies race weekend up until this weekend, and even this weekend he was running in the top 10. I think it's time for them to get a win.”
