As the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series heads to Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course, NASCAR legend Kevin Harvick shared his insights and predicted the winner for the final playoff race of Round of 12. He’s going with Joe Gibbs Racing star driver ahead of road course ringers Shane van Gisbergen and AJ Allmendinger to win Sunday’s Bank of America ROVAL at Charlotte.

On the latest episode of the “Happy Hour” podcast, Kevin Harvick shared a detailed analysis of the driver he believes would be a strong contender to reach victory lane this weekend.

According to Kevin Harvick, Christopher Bell will win Sunday’s (October 13) Bank of America ROVAL 400 at Charlotte. Bell is coming off a sixth-place finish. He won the NASCAR Charlotte Roval race in 2022.

Picking the winner for the sixth playoff race at Charlotte Roval, Harvick said:

“I think it's gonna be tough to go against SVG and AJ Allmendinger, but I’m gonna go with Christopher Bell. I think he’s got nothing to lose; he beat me a couple years ago with like two laps to go. I think that the [Joe Gibbs Racing] cars on rough race tracks like that always seem to have a better handling package. I’m going with Christopher Bell because I’m tired of everybody sleeping on him.”

Harvick’s co-host, Kaitlyn Vincie, picked non-playoff driver Shane van Gisbergen to win this week.

“There you go, well, you reference my pick, which I didn't really want to pick a non-playoff guy, but since we've seen them being a factor so much, I'm going to go with SVG,” Vincie said.

Meanwhile, co-host Mamba Smith picked AJ Allmendinger to spoil the playoff picture.

How has Kevin Harvick’s favorite Christopher Bell performed at Charlotte Roval?

The #20 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota driver has had decent numbers at Charlotte Motor Speedway Road Course. He has one win, one top-five finish, and two top-10 finishes, with an average finish of 12.0 in four starts at a 2.28-mile road course.

Bell won this year’s Charlotte oval race in May. He has had a good performance in NASCAR postseason and will look to continue the momentum on Sunday. He currently sits second in the Cup Series playoffs points table, 17 points behind points leader William Byron.
