As the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series heads to Phoenix Raceway for the Championship Race, NASCAR legend turned commentator Kevin Harvick shared his insights and predicted who might become a champion among Ryan Blaney, Joey Logano, William Byron and Tyler Reddick. Harvick went with a Team Penske driver to win this year’s Championship Race.

On the “Happy Hour” podcast, Kevin Harvick shared a detailed analysis of the driver he believes would be a strong contender to clinch the NASCAR Championship on Sunday, November 10.

Kevin Harvick picked the defending NASCAR Cup champion Ryan Blaney to win back-to-back titles at Phoenix Raceway. Harvick believes that the #12 Team Penske driver has momentum as he comes off a win in last weekend’s race at Martinsville. This win advanced him into the Championship 4 race.

Predicting the 2024 NASCAR champion, Harvick said:

“I gave you my breakdown, and unfortunately, I’m going to have to jump on the train. I gotta jump on the Ryan Blaney train. So, I'm going with Blaney. I just think he has the momentum. Just did it. Defending champ.” [51:02]

Harvick’s co-host, Kaitlyn Vincie, picked 23XI Racing’s Tyler Reddick to win his first NASCAR Cup Championship.

“I do love the first-time champion angle, and if it's Tyler Reddick, it's the whole story about that team and Michael Jordan's involvement. I think that'd be huge for the sport to see that group get it done. I'm going to go with Reddick,” Vincie said.

Meanwhile, co-host Mamba Smith also picked Blaney to defend his title this weekend.

“I was thinking about jumping off the train since Kevin's jumping on. We're going with the #12 back-to-back championships. This is the reigning champ. He'll be reigning one more year,” Smith said.

It will be interesting to see how Kevin Harvick and his co-hosts' picks fare at Phoenix.

How has Kevin Harvick’s top pick performed at Phoenix Raceway?

Ryan Blaney has had decent numbers at Phoenix Raceway. He has amassed eight top-five finishes and 12 top-10 finishes, with an average finish of 10.9 in 17 starts at one-mile Phoenix track.

The #12 Team Penske Ford driver has claimed three wins in his title defense season. He has been riding on the momentum and is the favorite to win the Championship this year.

Last year, Blaney finished second at Phoenix to win his first NASCAR title. He will look to replicate last year’s Phoenix Championship race performance.
