As the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series heads to Homestead-Miami Speedway, former NASCAR driver-turned-commentator Kevin Harvick shared his insights and predicted the winner for the second race of the NASCAR playoff Round of 8. He went with a Hendrick Motorsports driver to win Sunday’s Straight Talk Wireless 400 at 1.5-mile Homestead track.
In the latest episode of the “Happy Hour” podcast, Kevin Harvick shared a detailed analysis of the driver he believes would be a strong contender to win the seventh race of the playoffs on Sunday, October 20.
According to Harvick, the #5 HMS driver Kyle Larson is going to win Sunday’s (October 26) Straight Talk Wireless 400 at Homestead-Miami. Harvick picked Larson in back-to-back weeks and is confident that he will have a great week.
Predicting the Homestead-Miami playoff winner, Harvick said:
“I'm going to keep riding that Larson train. Yeah, it worked out well for me last week, but it seems like every time they have a terrible week, they have a great week.” [53:23]
Harvick’s co-host, Kaitlyn Vincie, picked Tyler Reddick, expecting a redemption performance from him. Reddick had a disappointing result duringlast weekend’s race at Las Vegas as he was involved in an accident that ended his outing early.
“I'm going Redick because I just think he needs a redemption and he could do it,” Vincie said.
Meanwhile, co-host Mamba Smith picked William Byron to win this weekend.
“I am going with Sir William Byron. Sir William. They haven't switched, but they've turned a quarter consistent. They've been consistent and consistently fast.”
