Keelan Harvick, the 12-year-old son of 2014 NASCAR Cup Series champion Kevin Harvick, bid goodbye to 2024 with a heartwarming video on social media, recalling a remarkable 2024 racing season. Keelan is competing in kart racing and has won seven races in Legends car racing.

Keelan Harvick is making his name in motorsports at a very young age. He's aiming to follow his father’s footsteps and is already demonstrating significant potential to advance to NASCAR’s highest ranks.

Kevin Harvick’s son reflected a sense of pride and optimism as he looks back on his accomplishments in 2024 and anticipates the upcoming opportunities in 2025. Reflecting on the 2024 season, Keelan tweeted a video with the caption:

“As 2024 comes to an end, I’m pretty happy with everything we accomplished! Can’t wait for 2025! #62”

The 2024 season marked a remarkable campaign for Keelan, highlighted by clinching the 2024 Legend Car Asphalt Nationals Championships.

In addition to his championship success, Keelan showcased his talent in various events throughout the year. Notably, he achieved an impressive P3 finish at a Legends car event at Southern National Motorsports Park in Lucama, North Carolina. Driving the #62 vehicle for Joe Ryan Racecars, he narrowly missed out on a $25,000 prize by 1.036 seconds, with his teammate Landen Lewis taking the victory.

At an age of eight, Keelan won his first go-kart race at Trackhouse Motorplex and went on to win several races in Micro and Mini categories over the years. He won the U.S. Legend Cars/INEX Road Course World Finals championship in 2023 and shifted his attention to the Legend Car Asphalt Nationals Young Lions series last year, where he won 33 out of a possible 57 races.

Kevin Harvick reveals racing plans for his son in 2025

Last year in November, Keelan Harvick took the next step in his motorsports career with his Limited Late Model debut. He secured a commendable eighth-place finish in the South Carolina 400 at Florence Motor Speedway.

After Keelan’s impressive run, his father and mentor Kevin Harvick reveals the racing schedule for his son in 2025. In an interview with Short Track Scene’s Scotte Sprinkle, Harvick said:

“I think next year we’ll probably run eight to twelve of these Limited Late Model races. We’ll run a lot here in Florence just because I like the rules; you can buy tires. We can give him a good, quality experience here.”
