Kyle Busch opened up about last weekend's Pocono incident on the Pat McAfee show. The veteran NASCAR star warned LaJoie about the incoming "payback". LaJoie rear ended Busch during the Pocono Cup Series race that eventually took out more than 6 cars.

Richard Childress Racing and Kyle Busch have endured a difficult season so far. However, a lot of it can be credited to bad luck as Busch has been wrecked out in 5 of the last 7 races. As the 39-year-old struggles to find form and speed, his playoff chances hang by a thread and a win this season looks highly unlikely.

Busch told Pat McAfee:

“Corey LaJoie texted me and then he called me. I didn’t even reach back out because he changed his story four times, so I’m like, you’re just a liar. You wrecked me. Like, I get it. It’s fine, whatever. Payback’s coming.”

Busch addressed the fact that RCR's car was not among the strongest in the field currently. However, he did state that the team's working on the same.

Here is what Busch said post-incident:

"It doesn't matter what I think. Of course, you have mirrors and cameras and everything else. So you try to get in front of the run that's coming and I was trying to get in front of that run and sometimes, some don't lift,"

Kyle Busch shares the nickname he created for Ricky Stenhouse Jr. in the same episode

In Kyle Busch's episode with Pat McAfee, he also shed light on his brawl with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. a few months ago. Rowdy further shared a hilarious nickname he gave Stenhouse Jr. while also attacking his past.

Busch stated:

"He's been known to crash a lot of stuff. He essentially got let go from one of his teams because he wrecked too much. He just crashed a lot. Sometimes even on his own. I made up my own nickname for him and he wasn't appreciative of that: wrecky spinhouse."

Kyle Busch and Ricky Stenhouse Jr. threw punches at each other after the All-Star race. Stenhouse Jr. reportedly waited the entire race outside Busch's hauler to confront him. He was eliminated in the second lap by Rowdy.

Such has been the season for Busch though. The moment he seemed to make progress, one thing or another halted his progress. Kyle is currently 18th on the championship table with 428 points.

The JTG Daugherty driver was handed the biggest fine in NASCAR history after the incident. He was charged $75,000 and his father was suspended indefinitely. However, Busch was not penalized for his actions.
