Kyle Busch has reflected on his postseason race at Kansas Speedway which saw a probable win slip from his grasp. The two-time Cup Series champion was leading the field and was about to lap Chase Briscoe, but grazed the outside wall, spinning out his #8 Chevy and bringing out caution.

The Richard Childress Racing driver had a strong qualifying run and kicked off the Hollywood Casino 400 race in third place. But the 39-year-old couldn't maintain his pace, falling to an 18th-place finish in the first stage. However, after pitting under caution on Lap 101, Busch and Christopher Bell were the first drivers off the pit road with two fresh tires.

After fighting back and forth for the lead, the #8 Chevy driver lost the domination to Bell and, a few laps later, got into the wall and dropped to fifth. Further, he traded paint with Austin Cindric but climbed to a seventh-place finish in Stage 2. Once Busch swooped past Ross Chastain, he eyed to lap Chase Briscoe.

The Stewart-Haas Racing driver was trying to stay on the lead lap and didn't give ample room to Kyle Busch. But the RCR driver relentlessly tried to pass and, in the due process, got squeezed into the wall and spun out, with 32 laps until the checkered flag dropped.

Busch couldn't regain momentum and rounded up a P19 finish. Since registering his first Cup triumph in 2005 at the Auto Club Speedway, the RCR driver hasn't gone winless for 19 consecutive seasons. However, that streak is nearing its conclusion, with six races left to change the fate.

"Running ten-tenths all the time, trying to make up and make up speed and cover the 1 car (Chastain), make sure I stay ahead of him and the 14 (Briscoe) turned down the hill in order to get clean air from the guy in front of him. So, I went to his outside and plugged the hole and then I just aired (to the outside wall)," Busch said via NASCAR on NBC on X).

When asked how he felt after failing to mark his 20th consecutive year with a win, the RCR driver replied and said.

"It didn't start to, it just did. Nothing, I mean, I'm numb. I don't know what to do."

Kyle Busch led 26 laps at the 1.5-mile tri-oval but the final stage incident rendered the domination useless.

Kyle Busch had five shots to register his 20th back-to-back season with a win but couldn't

Busch landed his first opportunity to ace the race in the regular season's battle at the Atlanta Motor Speedway. He fought against Daniel Suarez and Ryan Blaney on the final lap but lost by 0.007 seconds over Suarez in a three-wide photo finish.

At Dover Motor Speedway, the veteran driver stood as the polesitter and led 34 laps. However, he couldn't maintain his pace, was marred by fuel scarcity, and settled in fourth.

On his second visit to Daytona International Speedway, although Kyle Busch started 11th, he climbed the ladder and caught up with the frontrunners. Moreover, he was on the verge of punching his playoff ticket. However, the last-minute push by Parker Retzlaff propelled Harrison Burton to his career-first win.

Busch had his final playoff shot at Darlington Raceway and he crept close to securing it. But for 17 straight laps, his #8 Chevy couldn't outmaneuver Chase Brisoce's #14 Ford and the former marked his second consecutive runner-up finish.

The most recent disappointment came at Kansas where Kyle Busch tried to sneak around Briscoe but got wall-slammed and spun out, finishing 19th.
