Kyle Busch's son Brexton Busch and Kevin Harvick's son Keelan Harvick teamed up and sent a message to the entire racing community. The message read that while their fathers maybe getting old, it was still the beginning for them.
Brexton Busch and Keelan Harvick are both following in the footsteps of their fathers, eyeing success in the sport. Last year, Brexton made his first lap at Charlotte Motor Speedway in the Beginner Bandoleros division. He tailed a runner-up position in just two attempts there. Keelan competed in the Young Lions Division and put up a solid top-5 performance.
Brexton Busch recently shared an image of himself and Keelan Harvick, with the caption reading:
"Our pops are old, but we’re just getting started.😏"
Kyle Busch previously spoke about his son's NASCAR acumen, stating that the latter got more confident as kept getting better.
“I think for me, my favorite part is just the growth," Kyle Busch said in 2023 as quoted by Yahoo Sports. "And as he (Brexton) gets better and as he learns, he gets more confident. I think it’s more fun when you’re able to go to Victory Lane with your son.”
Kevin Harvick said during the same time that the COVID-19 pandemic helped him decide when to retire after his son started to race.
“COVID-19 really changed directions for our family and it kind of helped me decide when to retire after he started racing. I can just be a fan and watch and learn and try to help him learn … and chew him out sometimes and all those things that come with being a dad," Harvick said hwhile revealing his post-retirement plans.
Kyle Busch's 9-year-old son signs a three-year sponsor extension
ServPro Industries, LLC, has signed the driver of the 18B machine for Kyle Busch Motorsports, Brexton Busch on a three-year contract extension. As Brexton continues to polish his skills, he realizes how important this contract with ServPro is for his racing career.
"l am so thankful that ServPro will continue to support me in my racing career for years to come. We get to grow together. They believe in me, and I believe we can get them many more trips to victory lane. I couldn't do it without the ServPro team and all their associates!" Busch said, thanking ServPro, as reported by speedsport.com.
John Sooker, president and chief operating officer for ServPro, is also excited at the extension of their partnership with Brexton Busch.
"This is a partnership that has exceeded our expectations each and every year, and we couldn't be more excited to extend it for another three years," Sooker said. "It has been a pleasure watching Brexton grow and improve his racing skills, watching him become a bona fide racer... We can't wait to see what the future holds."
Brexton is steadily making his way up the ladder of grassroots-level racing by competing in Junior Sprint Outlaw Karts and Bandoleros. This year, he plans on driving Restricted Micro Sprint Cars.
