Kyle Busch's wife Samantha Busch recently took to her Instagram story to reveal her favorite food from the city of Naples in Italy. The Busch family was on a vacation to the European country during NASCAR's two-week break due to the Paris Olympics 2024.
Samantha held a Q&A session with her fans on Instagram, taking questions about her trip to Naples, Italy's third-largest city after Rome and Milan. One of her fans asked the 38-year-old about her favorite food from the city.
Samantha's answer was the age-old Margherita pizza. She uploaded a video of a beautifully crusted pizza, topped with a generous serving of fresh mozzarella cheese and finished with some onions and basil leaves.
"Pizza! They don't over complicate their food bc the ingredients are so fresh all the food was simply amazing. I've cooked most of my meals at home w tips I learned from the chef on the boat and ingredients from my garden bc now things here don't taste as good to me lol," she wrote.
Besides being a public figure and a social media influencer, Samantha Busch is an IVF advocate and the author of "Fighting Infertility: Finding My Inner Warrior Through Trying to Conceive, IVF, and Miscarriage." She is also known for her regular posts on lifestyle, fitness, and traveling. As of today, Samantha has 247K followers on Instagram.
Samantha Busch gets emotional on visiting her father's birthplace in Italy
During her trip to Italy, Samantha Busch paid a visit to her father's ancestral home in Caivano, Italy. Her father, Steve Sarcinella, was the eldest of the four siblings who came to the US on a boat at the age of six. Visiting her father's childhood house was an emotional rollercoaster ride for Samantha.
Sarcinella grew up in a house with just one room and no bathroom. His childhood was all about making ends meet. He used to help a local barber clear hair from his apartment for money. To Samantha's utter surprise, Sarcinella used to give that money to his father, so that the family could buy food.
Reflecting on the same, Samantha said in a recent Instagram reel:
"Growing up, my dad always instilled a strong work ethic in us and he always taught us to be grateful. We had heard stories about how he grew up but couldn't really wrap our mind around exactly the situation he was talking about. But when I went back and stood at the front door where my dad had been born and spent the first six years of his life, I was in utter disbelief."
"Watching Lennix (Samantha's daughter) run around inside the little courtyard knowing at that age that's exactly where my dad played...watching Brexton (Samantha's son) try to turn the door handle on the home that my Nonno (grandfather) grew up in 80 years ago...he was doing the same thing. It was surreal. It was such an emotional experience and one that I will forever be grateful for," she added.
The Buschs will now prepare for next week's race at Michigan International Speedway. Samantha's husband and the two-time Cup Series champion Kyle Busch is currently 18th in the Cup Series standings with 465 points.
Last week, he finished 12th in the Cook Out 400 at Richmond Raceway. The Richard Childress Racing driver is yet to win his first race of the season.
