Kyle Busch's wife Samantha said she wished for "a margarita in her hand" after an eventful day at the Florence Motor Speedway. The Buschs' son Brexton aced the 2024 NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series Feature race at the 0.4-mile oval.

Two-time Cup Series champion Kyle Busch is gearing up for the regular season finale at the Darlington Raceway while his son Brexton competed at the Feature race. After setting the stage with the fastest qualifying speed, the 9-year-old dominated every lap before etching his name as the winner.

Samantha Busch took to her Instagram stories to share a picture of her, holding Lennix in one hand and a drink in the other. She wrote in the caption:

"Today was absolutely nuts🤦🏻‍♀️. We will do story time tomorrow but for now, I'm wishing I had a margarita in hand😂"

Before dominating at the Florence Speedway, Brexton posted a first and third-place finish at the two-race event hosted by the Milbridge Speedway. The 9-year-old has raked in over 30 victories across different racing categories in 2024.

Kyle Busch in a must-win situation at Darlington Raceway to punch his playoff ticket

Kyle Busch is in the playoff bubble, having collected four top-5s and eight top-10s. However, the Richard Childress Racing driver is still to take a race win this season.

After multiple wrecks and cautions during the second and final stages at the Coke Zero Sugar 400 reset the field, Busch took the green flag as the leader during the final overtime restart. Harrison Burton was next to the #8 Chevy driver in second, eying his career-first Cup Series win.

As the restart went off, Busch took the lead and entered the final lap as the leader. He inched closer to securing the Daytona win but a last-minute push to Burton's #21 Ford by Parker Retzlaff changed the game.

The Wood Brothers Racing driver gained momentum over Busch, and with just half a lap left until the checkered flag dropped, gunned his #21 Ford to the start/finish line. Even though the RCR driver tried to retake the lead, he lost the battle by 0.047 seconds.

Speaking after the race, Busch shared his thoughts, including surviving the wrecks. He said (via PRN on X):

"Finished second, it's all good. We were really, really, really lucky to miss those crashes tonight... Was hoping we could get those free No. 8 specials at @cheddarskitchen but it wasn't meant to be. We'll regroup and come back next week."
"Besides flat-out wrecking him, there was nothing I could do," the RCR driver added.

If Busch fails to secure the win at Darlington, it will mark the first time since his full-time Cup Series debut in 2005 that the veteran driver won't be fighting for the championship.
