Kyle Busch recently shared a preview of his new project on Instagram after he missed out on qualifying for the 2024 NASCAR playoffs. NASCAR is adding three new shows during the 2024 playoffs and Busch will feature in the new episodes of "NASCAR Inside the Playoffs."
The two-time Cup Series champion narrowly missed out on qualifying for the playoffs after close calls at the last two races in Daytona and Darlington. Busch led in Daytona but fell short after a late push from Harrison Burton, who won his first Cup race. He again had a close finish in Darlington and missed the playoffs by just 0.361 seconds behind Chase Briscoe.
In an Instagram story post, Kyle Busch shared glimpses of the new studio program “NASCAR Inside the Playoffs.” Busch will appear in the first two episodes with hosts Shannon Spake and Steve Letarte.
The show will offer a detailed look at the playoffs with insights from current and former NASCAR drivers.
NASCAR Inside the Playoffs is set to air this Thursday at 7 p.m. ET on truTV and Max.
Two other shows that NASCAR is launching are "NASCAR Daily" and "Drop the Jack." NASCAR Daily is a podcast hosted by Spake and will air on YouTube starting September 9. It will cover breaking news and feature interviews with drivers and industry experts.
Additionally, Drop the Jack will stream on Thursdays at 3 p.m. ET. It will focus on life at the track with pit crew members and other NASCAR veterans.
All three shows will be produced at NASCAR’s new studio in Concord, North Carolina.
"Get a win this year to just continue that streak" - Kyle Busch on keeping his winning run going
Kyle Busch has won at least one race each season for 19 years and he is determined to extend his impressive record with 10 races left.
The 39-year-old finished second in the last two races and is hopeful he can secure a win at Atlanta, where he has also finished in the top five in recent races.
"No question. Absolutely. We already passed the Daytona 500 and checked that box. So, the next box to check, highest on the list is to get a win this year to just continue that streak," he said earlier this year.
Earlier this season in Atlanta, Busch finished at third place. If he wins a race this year, Busch will reach wins in 20 straight years.
