Kyle Busch continues to spend the offseason unwinding and enjoying time with his family. Most recently, the Busch family took a trip out to the West Coast for the week of Thanksgiving.
Alongside his wife Samantha, and the couple's two children, Brexton and Lennix, the Busch family soaked up the sun on the beach and toured around the major cities on the West Coast. Samantha shared a few photos from the family trip to her Instagram and penned a caption that wrote:
"Life on the west coast"
The post came not long after the Busch family checked out the Formula 1 Las Vegas Grand Prix in Kyle's hometown. In a post to her Instagram stories, Samantha joked that she hopes Brexton, an aspiring NASCAR driver, chooses F1 instead so she can travel to Monaco and Dubai.
"Asking him if he'd rather race f1 selfishly checking out Monaco and Dubai wouldn't suck," she wrote.
Prior to that, Kyle was seen riding a motorbike while the couple's two children rode motorcars around the family's neighborhood on the second day of the offseason. Samantha posted the video to Instagram and wrote:
"What “off season” day 2 looks like at our house."
The offseason fun comes on the heels of arguably Kyle Busch's worst season of his storied NASCAR Cup Series career. The two-time champion failed to win at least one race in the season for the first time in his career and didn't make the playoffs for the first time since 2012. The driver of the #8 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet finished 20th in the final points standings, which is tied for the worst in his career.
Kyle Busch said he doesn't have any New Year's resolutions
Kyle Busch isn't adding any New Year's resolutions ahead of 2025. In a light-hearted interview with Dirty Mo Media's Andrew Kurland, the champion driver explained how he never sticks to New Year's resolutions. Therefore, he doesn't make any.
"I do not have New Year's resolutions, no," Kyle Busch said. "Typically, I don't do a very good job of sticking to them. So, uh-uh."
Busch wrapped up his second season behind the wheel of the #8 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet recently. Prior to going winless this year, Busch won three races in 2023 and made the playoffs. However, he was eliminated from the playoff field in the Round of 12.
Busch spent 15 seasons piloting the #18 Joe Gibbs Racing Toyota. He won two NASCAR Cup Series championships in 2015 and 2019, respectively, and also won a NASCAR Xfinity Series title in 2009, a series where he has over 100 victories.
