Back in 2017, Kyle Larson had talked about how Tony Stewart had taught his son, Owen, a swear word while babysitting him. Owen is the oldest of Larson and wife Katelyn Sweet's three children.
During the 2017 Championship week, NASCAR Cup Series drivers were involved in a candid media interaction. That's when legendary driver Jimmie Johnson asked if Larson's son caught hold of the words from Stewart. The Hendrick Motorsports driver said:
"They've stuck since Daytona in February... So we're sitting like this watching dirt division and we're trying to get Owen to fall asleep on Tony’s man b**bs and Owen's got his head right here and Tony's saying' 'sh*t, sh*t, sh*t, sh*t,' for like 20 minutes but we don't really hear him saying it and the next week we're driving to the airport and Owen starts saying sh*t and I'm like why is he saying sh*t?"
"So every time Owen sees Tony, Tony says, 'Say sh*t, say sh*t,' and Owen says, 'sh*t,' but anytime we say 'sh*t', Owen's like, ‘No shoot, not sh*t’ but when Tony's around he says it," Larson added.
Kyle Larson and his son Owen have tasted victory this 2024 season
Kyle Larson is one of the dominant drivers this 2024 NASCAR season, leading the Cup Series points standings with four wins under his belt. Moreover, his son has also made his name this year. Owen won his second Junior Sprint race at Coles County Speedway in Mattoon, Illinois.
Larson drove his way through NASCAR's premier division by competing on the dirt tracks. Seemingly, Owen is following in his father's footsteps.

Meanwhile, for the first time this season, #5 Chevy driver Larson drove through the victory lane at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, followed by the Kansas and Sonoma Speedways.
His last win was at the iconic Indianapolis Motor Speedway before NASCAR broke for the two-week hiatus for the Paris Olympics.
After 21 starts this season, Larson has accumulated four wins, nine top-5s, and 11 top-10 finishes. As NASCAR is gearing up for the remaining four races of the regular season, drivers and teams will be seen in action for the Cook Out 400 race at Richmond Raceway on August 11.
