Kyle Larson failed to turn his pole position at Perth Motorplex to a win as James McFadden clinched victory on the second night in Australia. Brad Sweet, Larson's brother-in-law and the co-founder of the series finished in fourth place. This is the final stage of the High Limit Racing series.

Larson started the race with a commanding lead, maintaining P1. He was a fan favorite. However, things quickly turned around for him despite his strong performance during the qualifying session and the initial race. With 21 laps to go, Kyle Larson passed a lapped car but was too fast to regain control and made contact with the wall.

His right rear impacted the outside wall, and he seemed to suffer from a suspension issue. He had to pit for repairs and joined the race at the back of the field. He had to return to the pit soon for more repairs, ruining his chances of winning the race.

Meanwhile, James McFadden kept his calm and led the way, just as he did yesterday during the first night at Perth Motorplex. He came home to a consecutive second victory and performed his 'shoey' celebration. The back-to-back victories put him on track as the primary contender to win the final event prize money worth $100k.

This is the second successive time that Brad Sweet finished ahead of Larson in the two-race event. The 2024 High Limit champion managed to finish in third place yesterday as Larson ended up in fourth place.

Kyle Larson married Brad Sweet's sibling Katelyn Sweet back in 2018. They had been dating for a long time prior to their marriage. Brad has been using his experience of racing in the dirt and has the maximum points in the 2024 High Limit Series standings.

Larson had put in a strong performance earlier to claim the pole position on the second night of the race. Despite facing strong battles, he managed to win the dash, which locked him up in the front row alongside McFadden.

This was the series's first international event after NASCAR Cup Series driver Kyle Larson and World of Outlaws driver Brad Sweet initiated the series in 2023. It focuses on giving sprint car racers an increased incentive to provide them with better opportunities in the future. The series had been limited to the US but it was expanded with their first international venture at Perth Motorplex in Australia.

This season will conclude with the final race on the track tomorrow. However, the action is not stopping anytime soon as a whopping 60-race calendar was recently announced for the 2025 season.
