Kyle Larson's brother-in-law, Brad Sweet, announced the expansion plans for High Limit Racing. One of these is the integration of sports betting aimed to increase fan engagement starting next year.
High Limit Racing is a 410 winged sprint car series co-owned by brothers-in-law Kyle Larson and Brad Sweet. Larson married Sweet's sister, Katelyn, in September 2018, with the couple now sharing three children.
Speaking with FloRacing via X (formerly Twitter), Brad Sweet shared details about the upcoming sports betting venture for the series in 2025, saying:
"We're going to launch a partnership with ALT Sports. So we're going to have sports betting on High Limit races in 2025, and we think that will be a great added aspect for fan engagement and more reason for fans to tune in to what High Limit is doing." [3:11 onwards]
The five-time World of Outlaws champion believes the addition of sports betting should make High Limit Racing more competitive in terms of fan engagement.
"You see what's happening across the world with fan engagement. It's super competitive in every outdoor entertainment space and there's a lot of sports betting going on, that's another reason to have the fans tune in." [3:51 onwards]
Sweet concluded:
"If they're tuned in and sports betting on High Limit is showcasing our drivers and the High Limit brand, so that's exciting for everyone involved." [4:14 onwards]
Aside from sports betting, Sweet mentioned that the 2025 season will have 61 races and 15 new tracks.
Kyle Larson is also a part-time driver in the series. Before the year ends, the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion will head to Australia for an international High Limit Racing stop at Perth Motoreplex. This will also be High Limit Racing's first international event held outside the United States.
Kyle Larson's wife Katelyn shares his "coolest" moment this year
Earlier this year, Kyle Larson's wife, Katelyn, shared her husband's coolest moment of the season. While Larson notably won the most races this year at six, the driver's "coolest" moment was said to be arriving at the all-star race in style.
Per Instagram, North Wilkesboro Speedway, along with Katelyn and B/R Racing, posted a video of the couple getting off a Bell 429 chopper ahead of the NASCAR All-Star Open race around the 0.625-mile oval track.
"Coolest moment of the year, tbh," the caption read.
The video was shot on May 19 when Kyle Larson ran in the Indy 500 qualifying session at Indianapolis Motor Speedway. He then hopped on the Hendrick Motorsports jet bound for North Wilkesboro for the all-star race before arriving in a helicopter together with his wife.
While Larson lost to Joey Logano for the $1 million prize money at North Wilkesboro Speedway, the No. 5 Chevrolet pilot qualified fifth as a rookie for the Indy 500.
A week later, the driver finished 18th in his first Indy 500 race.
For the 2025 season, Larson will have another go at The Double. He will race in the Indy 500 and NASCAR's Coca-Cola 600 on the same day on Memorial Day Weekend next year.
