#4 Brickyard 400 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway (2024)

The last time Larson raced at the IMS Oval was in 2019, where he managed to secure a P33 finish despite being fastest in practice. The 32-year-old entered the All-Star Race fresh off a dominant Craftsman Truck Series victory earlier in the week, making it his third All-Star win at a different track. Starting 13th, Larson made an early pit stop under caution on lap 17, but a penalty sent him to the back of the field. Undeterred, he skillfully charged through the field over the next 35 laps to take the lead.

He dominated the race, leading for 145 laps, and ultimately drove down victory lane, showcasing one of the most impressive performances of his career.


#2 Attempting the Double (2024)

For recent NASCAR enthusiasts, the double means racing in the Indianapolis 500 in the day, and then racing in the Cup Series Coca-Cola 600 at night, which is the longest race on the calendar.

The American aimed to join Tony Stewart in completing the grueling 1100-mile double. However, rain delayed the Indy 500's start by four hours. Despite the delay, Larson's team persisted, but a mistake dropped him to 18th place.

He then embarked on a whirlwind journey involving two helicopter rides and a flight to Concord, arriving midway through the Coca-Cola 600. Unfortunately, rain forced a red flag, ending the race and dashing Larson's hopes of completing the double.

#1 A dominating Return (2021 Championship Run)

Kyle Larson's use of a racial slur led to his ban from NASCAR racing for the 2020 season.

In 2021, Larson returned to the Cup Series as a driver for Hendrick Motorsports. Throughout the season, Larson maintained sheer dominance over his competitors as he secured a staggering 10 race wins, 20 top-five finishes, and 26 top-ten finishes.

Of his 10 race victories that season, Larson dominated the playoffs, winning four of the final five races, and ultimately securing the 2021 Cup Series Championship. Remarkably, he narrowly missed breaking the record for most laps led in a season, falling short by just 29 laps. Larson beat Martin Truex Jr. by a razor-thin margin of .398 seconds in the last playoff race at Phoenix Raceway and clinched his first Cup Series title.
