NASCAR driver Kyle Larson's wife, Katelyn, took to her Instagram on December 31 to share a video featuring clips of her two-year-old son, Cooper Donald Larson, for his birthday. The video feautured Cooper's antics, along with moments spent with family, visits to the track, photoshoot images, and clips with his mom, set to the song Send Me On My Way by Rusted Root.
The mom-of-three shared the video to her social media, with the caption:
"Happy 2nd Birthday to my baby! Full of personality and love sweet boy."
Kyle and Katelyn have been married since 2018. They had their first child together, Owen Miyata Larson, in 2014. They also have a daughter, Audrey Lane Larson, who was born in 2018. The birthday boy, Cooper, was born in 2022.
Kyle Larson finished his 2024 season in sixth place in the points standings, having been eliminated just before the Championship four. He scored victories in six races this past season, along with achieving 15 top fives, and 18 top 10s. He also led 1700 laps.
Speaking about his 2024 season, Larson said (via NBC Sports):
“I look back on our year as being really good. We were strong all season long. I felt like we had great speed from the beginning of the year to the end of the year, much like we were in 2021. The round of 8 just didn’t work out for us and didn’t get the chance to race for a championship, but I don’t really look at that as like a low, either. I know we had the most successful season. Granted, we didn’t get to win a championship. We won a lot more races than everybody else and led a ton of laps and pretty much led every category. That was something I’m very proud of and look forward to trying to do even better next year.”
Larson won his only Cup Series Championship in 2021, along with winning that year's regular series championship. He has accumulated 29 race wins since joining the Cup Series in 2014 driving for Chip Ganassi Racing.
Larson goes into 2025 driving his fifth full-time season with Hendrick Motorsports in its #5 car.
