Kyle Larson has landed in Australia ahead of the three-day High Limit Series racing event at Perth Motorplex. This is the last stop in the High Limit Series 2024 calendar. Larson and World Of Outlaws founded the series with Brad Sweet in 2023.
The two drivers founded the High Limit Racing Series which primarily features sprint car racing with an increased incentive. It focuses on providing teams and drivers with better opportunities which would allow them to get to the peak of open-wheel sprint car racing. As the 2024 season comes to an end with three events remaining, all at the Perth Motorplex in Australia, co-founder Larson shared a post on X showcasing his excitement ahead of the action.
"Great to be back in Australia! Tonight begins 3 days of racing at Perth Motorplex with @HighLimitRacing International. Catch all the action on @FloRacing."
This is the first time the High Limit Series has stepped out of the US to race on international turf. The 2024 season will conclude on December 30 at the Perth Motorplex. Larson has remained highly optimistic of moving the series across the borders to race for the first time in Australia.
Kyle Larson and Brad Sweet on High Limit Racing moving to international ground
The racing series has had a positive effect on the overall status of the sprint car racing. The races are rather unpredictable with multiple challenges for the drivers to face throughout the laps. The dirt adds to the adrenaline-filled action of the competition.
As the series moves to Australia for its final installment, it was announced that the winner will be awarded a whopping $100,000. Kyle Larson, reflecting on the effort that has been put into the series, said:
"All of us at High Limit are excited to take the first step in expanding our brand to an international level. Australian sprint car fans are passionate and super supportive. They deserve a six-figure paying race as do the Australian drivers and teams," Kyle Larson said.
Brad Sweet and Kyle Larson originally started the series as a national competition, but their debut in Australia at the Perth Motorplex marked the beginning of their first taste of international competition. Appreciating the efforts of Gavin Migro, the GM of the Motorplex, Sweet said:
"Perth Motorplex is a great facility with an impressive staff and a strong fanbase. To team up with Gavin (Migro, General Manager at Perth Motorplex) and his track for our first international event was a no-brainer for us. We’re proud to be bringing a high-paying, high-caliber event to Australian sprint car fans," Sweet stated.
The High Limit Racing Series also recently announced its plans for the 2025 season as it revealed a 60-race calendar.
