Trackhouse Racing’s No. 99 Daniel Suarez posted pictures from his Japan visit on his social media. With the NASCAR offseason underway, the drivers are off and about the world, enjoying their vacations. However, Suarez isn't just out for a vacation but is celebrating his honeymoon with his wife Julia in Japan.

Daniel and Julia got married earlier this year. Since the wedding happened during the NASCAR season, the duo didn't go out for their honeymoon. With the season ending on November 10 and the awards ceremony taking place in the last week of November, Suarez and Julia flew to Japan and shared the first pictures of their honeymoon on December 1.

The latest post uploaded by Julia is from their last spot in Japan before they leave the country. The caption to the post read:

“Last but not the least… TOKYO”

The post included a video of the couple riding an escalator, photos of them with cats, photos from a fish market in Tokyo, and the Sashimi bars. Julia also uploaded pictures from a Sumo wrestling match and the couple out trying street food in Tokyo. A few selfies and pictures from Japanese cafes were the last set of slides.

2024 has been an eventful year for the 32-year-old NASCAR driver. Suarez passed his US citizenship exam in April and became a dual citizen of Mexico and the USA in June. After getting his citizenship, Suarez got married to his girlfriend Julia in July. The wedding took place in Brasilia, Brazil and the wedding guests stayed at Julia's father’s house. Soon after getting married, Daniel Suarez extended his stay with Trackhouse Racing.

“Home to me”: Daniel Suarez on extending his contract with Trackhouse Racing

Daniel Suarez’s Cup Series career began with Joe Gibbs Racing in 2017. He made moves to Stewart-Haas Racing and Gaunt Brothers Racing before arriving at Trackhouse Racing in 2021. He has been with the team for the last four years and will be continuing next year after extending his contract.

Suarez, after signing the contract extension, said (via Autosport):

“Trackhouse is home to me and I have enjoyed every minute I have been here. We plan to keep working, growing and winning more races. We can only do that with the support of my Amigos and Amigas at Freeway Insurance. They have backed me for the last several years and we have grown close with their customers and employees.”

Suarez had his best-ever NASCAR Cup series finish with Trackhouse in 2022 where he finished 10th in the championship. He came close to replicating it this year, but fell short and finished 12th.
