LMC driver Erik Jones uploaded a photo on the social media platform X as he shared some of the books he read in 2024. With Christmas gone and the New Year on the horizon, Jones shared a picture with four of the books that he read.

“Some of my reads from this year,” Erik Jones posted on X.

In the photo, the books were stacked on top of each other. The bottom-most book was The Farmer's Lawyer by Sarah Vogel. The story revolves around a young lawyer in a battle with the federal government. The lawyer fought for the farmers and their land as the government threatened with foreclosure. The story is based in the 80s.

The next book was titled Dead in the Water by Kit Chellel and Matthew Campbell. The book is based on true stories about a maritime hijacking. The book reveals the reality of international shipping and the criminals working within the industry.

The third book was American Rebel: The Life of Clint Eastwood by Marc Eliot. The author captures the essence of Hollywood star Clint Eastwood’s life. Eliot depicts the highs and lows of Clint's life. The book expressed the relationship between Eastwood's personality, life, and his work.

The last book was The Field Of Blood by Joanne B. Freeman. The book is based on the years before the US Civil War and reveals the details of the increase in brawls and violence that the US Congress experienced during the years leading up to the Civil War.

Erik Jones is a passionate reader and also runs a foundation in his name that promotes reading among children, animal welfare, and encourages cancer detection.

Erik Jones celebrated the success of his foundation in 2024

The LMC driver took to social media platform X earlier this month to celebrate his foundation and highlight the work done by the Erik Jones Foundation in 2024. He shared a post on X, tagged his foundation, and also shared its achievements.

“What a year it's been for the @ErikJonesFdn. We donated 1 book vending machine, hosted @thesunbus_us for mobile skin cancer screenings during two race weekends this season, hosted our annual Clays for Causes and 3 Reasons to Race Fundraisers, continued the #WindowOfHope Program, and were named Comcast Community Champion of the Year.”

Jones also runs the Window of Hope program where all the drivers are given a pink window net at the Charlotte Motor Speedway every year. The drivers run these nets, sign them after the race, and they are then auctioned with the proceeds going to cancer research. Jones lost his father to melanoma in 2016. His mother was also treated for breast cancer twice.
