NASCAR driver Erik Jones shared Legacy Motor Club’s Instagram stories post on his account as the Cup Series team celebrated the holiday season. The off-season is underway, and LMC recently organized a Christmas party for its employees. LMC ambassador and former NASCAR champion Richard Petty also attended the event.
Former owner Richard Petty from when the team was called Petty Enterprises, current driver and co-owner Jimmie Johnson, Erik Jones, and John Hunter Nemechek were among those at the event.
Legacy Motor Club uploaded a picture collage of its Cup Series drivers as they celebrated the Christmas event. The collage had three pictures with the topmost one being a photo of Erik Jones with his wife Holly. The middle picture was of Johnson with Petty. The third picture was of Nemechek with his wife Taylor.
Jones shared this post on his Instagram account. The caption read:
“Closed out the year and celebrated the Holiday season with the club!”
Jimmie Johnson also gave a speech at the event and shared the video on his Instagram account. Johnson said:
“Looking back on an incredible holiday party with the team that makes it all happen. Merry Christmas and cheers to an amazing year ahead.”
He continued, “We’re building something, it’s been a journey, it’s still going to be a journey but I promise you we have great things right ahead of us. We’re going to continue to grow, evolve, and have the success we’re so critically judged by our audience.”
He ended the speech by highlighting how LMC is lucky to have the Petty family name as the foundation for the team, and that they will continue to grow and evolve moving into 2025.
Erik Jones reflected on the 2024 success of his foundation
The Erik Jones Foundation is an initiative by the LMC driver and was founded in 2021. The foundation aims to change lives by igniting children’s passion for reading, encouraging early cancer detection and care, and promoting animal welfare. Jones looked back at the philanthropic work done by his foundation in 2024.
Jones posted on X:
“What a year it's been for the @ErikJonesFdn. We donated 1 book vending machine, hosted @thesunbus_us for mobile skin cancer screenings during two race weekends this season, hosted our annual Clays for Causes and 3 Reasons to Race Fundraisers, continued the #WindowOfHope Program, and were named Comcast Community Champion of the Year.”
Jones is the man behind the Window of Hope program where the drivers race with pink window nets and later sign them. The nets are then auctioned and the proceedings from the same are donated for cancer research.
