NASCAR driver Harrison Burton's fiancée, Jenna Petty, recently shared pictures from their romantic trip to the Bahamas on Instagram. The couple are traveling during the two-week NASCAR break to enjoy some quality time together.
Burton currently drives the No.21 Ford Mustang for Wood Brothers Racing in the NASCAR Cup Series. Petty is a dancer and is also active on social media about her life and various NASCAR events. She also participated in the NASCAR racing program, Better Half Dash. The couple, who have been together for about seven years, announced their engagement in March of this year.
Petty posted photos of their trip to the Caribbean country of Bahamas, and captioned it:
"Life is a dream w you🐚"
The island nation has 16 major islands within 100,000 square miles and features access to some of the world’s clearest oceans. It is located in the Atlantic Ocean and is a popular tourist destination for white sand beaches and reefs.
The couple stayed at a luxury resort, Albany, and visited local restaurants, cafes, and beaches. Petty also posted several stories and wrote, "this trip has been a dream."
Harrison Burton faces crucial 2024 season
The 23-year-old Harrison Burton is currently near the bottom of the NASCAR Cup Series points standings at number 35.
Burton started racing in the Cup Series with Gaunt Brothers Racing in April 2021 and became the first driver born in the 2000s to compete. He joined Wood Brothers Racing the same year as the driver of the No. 21 Ford Mustang for the 2022 season.
In his rookie year, he led laps but also experienced crashes, like at the Daytona 500, and had only two top-10 finishes. He finished 31st in points last year. This season, his best finish has been 10th in Talladega.
It was recently announced that Josh Berry will drive the No. 21 car for Wood Brothers Racing in 2025. Talking about the tough news, Burton said in a video he tweeted:
"Never news you want to hear as a race car driver. But at the end of the day, that’s the way this business works and we need to put that behind us and we still have a great opportunity to try and get the Wood Brothers their 100th win this season."
Harrison Burton, therefore, needs to show his skills in the remaining 17 races this season to get a future Cup Series ride. If he doesn’t perform, he might have to move back to the NASCAR Xfinity or Craftsman Truck Series.
