It was over four decades ago when a car dealership owner by the name of Joseph Riddick Hendrick III joined forces with car builder Harry Hyde to lay the foundations of All Star Racing. Renamed "Hendrick Motorsports" in 1985, the team quickly reached new heights as the seasons went by.
Today, Hendrick Motorsports is labeled one of the greatest NASCAR teams of all time. The team has over 300 victories in the NASCAR Cup Series. Furthermore, HMS has also won a record 14 Cup Series championships, with Kyle Larson winning the most recent one in 2021.
Beyond the Cup Series, Rick Hendrick is one of the three owners to win a championship in all three national series of NASCAR. His achievements led Hendrick to a NASCAR Hall of Fame induction in 2017. He was also inducted in the Motorsports Hall of Fame in 2020.
Rick Hendrick, who is worth $1 billion (according to Celebrity Net Worth) turned 75 on July 12. In a bid to honor his legacy, Hendrick Motorsports organised an outdoor ceremony to celebrate the 75th birthday of the legendary team owner.

"I'd like to thank you all for coming out and for appreciating my husband so much. Because I know how much he cares for you back you all."
