NASCAR driver AJ Allmendinger's car sported livery for the Yellawood 500 playoff race at Talladega Superspeedway from Strive, an asset management firm. Strive and Kaulig Racing came into a partnership earlier this year, and their co-founder was present at Talladega for the playoff race.

Allmendinger drives the #16 Chevrolet Camaro for Kaulig Racing, competing full-time in the NASCAR Xfinity Series. Over his 17-year career, Allmendinger has secured 21 victories across both the Xfinity and Cup Series. His most recent win came in the Cup Series at the 2023 Bank of America Roval 400 at Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Allmendinger started the Yellawood 500 Cup Series playoff race in P25, piloting the #13 Kauling Racing Strive Chevrolet. As the race went on, Strive's co-founder and former US Republican presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, who has publically extended his support for Donald Trump in the US Presidential elections, was witnessed cheering on from the stands for 'The Dinger'. Ramaswamy also shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) captioned,

"Strong start at Dega. Most competitive track in NASCAR. AJ Allmendinger driving the ⁦@StriveFunds car, looking good at the start."

Strive will be featured as an associate partner on Kaulig Racing's #31 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, driven by Daniel Hemric, for the remainder of the 2024 NASCAR season.

Allmendinger finished the race in P28, 2 laps behind winner Ricky Stenhouse Jr., who played spoiler in the Cup Series playoff race by holding off the field in overtime to grab his first victory of the season. However, Allmendinger's Xfinity Series race provided a much better result, as the Kaulig Racing driver secured a P11 finish.

“You’ll never make it” - Parker Kligerman reveals AJ Allmendinger’s disbelief at former’s NASCAR aspiration

NASCAR Xfinity Series driver Parker Kligerman recently recalled a conversation years ago with AJ Allmendinger where 'The Dinger' had not believed in Kligerman's desire to become a professional NASCAR driver.

Kligerman, who drives the #48 Chevy for Big Machine Racing in the Xfinity Series, said he met Allmendinger online when he was sim racing with a friend.

In a recent post on X by @NASCAR_Xfinity, Kligerman said,

"So, AJ and I met on the internet many years ago, when I was 12 years old or so, and we were sim racing, and we didn't believe it was him. This friend of mine and I started racing this guy, said his name was AJ Allmendinger. Eventually, we got a voice chat and it was actually him. I told him, 'I'm going to be a professional racecar driver too.' He said, 'Give up kid, you'll never make it.'"
"And then we found ourselves as teammates at Penske and raced each other in the Xfinity Series. So, I like to say, "Made it, baby."

Kligerman and AJ Allmendinger eventually became teammates at Penske Racing in 2012. Both drivers are now full-time competitors in the Xfinity Series and are battling for a spot in the Round of 8 of the 2024 playoffs.
