Amy Earnhardt donned an impressive gown and paired it with her mother's vintage relic. Amy is married to NASCAR Hall of Famer Dale Earnhardt Jr. and has been known for her incredible fashion choices on social media.
By profession, Amy is an interior designer and a graduate of the University of Kentucky. She met Dale through work when he hired her firm for a design project for his home in Kannapolis.
After dating for almost five years, the JR Motorsports co-owner proposed to Amy in 2015 and married on Dec. 31, 2016, in Childress Vineyards in Lexington, North Carolina. The couple are parents to two daughters, Isla and Nicole.
Amy has been quite active on social media, where she updates on her private life and showcases her outfits in and around NASCAR events. The wife of a two-time Daytona 500 winner gave a glimpse of a vintage belt of her mother.
"Threw on my moms belt this evening. Makes my heart happy to have it," Amy wrote on her Instagram story.
When Amy Earnhardt interviewed Dale Earnhardt Jr. on his Xfinity race at Bristol
Two-time Xfinity Series champion Dale Earnhardt Jr.'s last visit to the Bristol Motor Speedway in 2023 ended prematurely, as his #88 Chevy caught fire. As a result, his racing suit got a hole in the lower part.
In a post-race interview, Dale reflected on the incident when Amy Earnhardt asked about the "terrible" burning smell.
"You smell terrible by the way. You smell like a fire. What happened?" asked Amy.
Earnhardt replied:
"Yeah! I have got a hole in my pants. The shifter tunnel column was on fire. I saw some smoke in the car, and I felt that I was like, ‘Hopefully that's not me,’ but it was. That last lap, I saw a big fireball down in the tunnel of the car and I felt it.
"Obviously, my uniform was burning up. I was like, ‘I can't keep going. I got to stop.’ And usually when you stop the fire gets bigger. So I pulled over by the pit stall and some of the guys were pretty alert, and they helped me out," he added.
Ahead of Dale's return to Bristol on a part-time stint with JR Motorsports, Xfinity Racing posted last year's interview of Amy Earnhardt and Dale hoping for a better result this season.
"Here's hoping @DaleJr doesn't get a hole in his pants in his 2024 #XfinitySeries shot at @ItsBristolBaby"
Since his full-time retirement in 2017, Dale Earnhardt has been competing in one-off races in NASCAR's second-tier division. He has returned to the final regular season race of the Xfinity Series at Bristol Motor Speedway, which might be his last Xfinity appearance.
