Kyle Busch recently announced that he would compete in the 2024 Tulsa Shootout, the world's largest micro-sprint event, which will take place from December 31 to January 4. The list of competitors include the 39-year-old's nine-year-old son, Brexton.

Additionally, Busch will race in the 39th annual Chili Bowl Nationals, powered by NOS Energy Drink, joining other NASCAR stars like Tony Stewart, Kyle Larson, and Christopher Bell.

Two-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Kyle Busch, who drives the #8 car for Richard Childress Racing, has cemented his place among NASCAR's top drivers with 231 career wins across all series.

Busch ranks ninth all-time in the Cup Series with 63 victories and holds the record for most wins in both the Xfinity and Truck Series. Beyond his Cup Series success, he's also the 2009 Xfinity Series champion, a season where he secured 9 race wins and 11 runner-up finishes.

Busch, in partnership with FloSport, will pilot the #51 Lucas Oil/FloRacing midget for his debut in the Chili Bowl Nationals. Recently, the 39-year-old shared his thoughts on capping off his 2024 on a high, following an underwhelming Cup Series campaign.

“The Cup season may be over, but the racing season is still in full swing with the biggest events on dirt taking place over the next couple of months. The Chili Bowl is a legendary event and has always been on my wish-list. To be able to compete there, and then alongside my son Brexton at the Tulsa Shootout, is making this year one to remember," Busch commented.

Meanwhile, Kyle Busch finished the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series campaign in P20, marking one of his lowest finishes in the division in recent history. The two-time champion failed to secure a spot in the playoffs, however, he would be hoping for a resurgence in the upcoming season.

"Toughest year of my career" - Kyle Busch hoping to come back stronger in 2025 with RCR

Three-time NASCAR champion Kyle Busch had one of the most underwhelming campaigns in the Cup Series, throughout his celebrated career. Following the end of the season at Phoenix, the Las Vegas, Nevada native reflected on his 2024 season, and expressed his gratitude for everyone who made it possible.

Throughout the season, Busch found himself struggling with on-track incidents and technical faults, most of which were on account of his misfortune. His best finish of the season was when he drove RCR's #8 Chevy across the start-finish line twice, in the final two races of the regular season. However, it was not enough to secure a spot in the playoffs.

Reflecting on his season, Kyle Busch wrote on X(formerly Twitter):

"Arguably the toughest year of my career. Full of trials, n heartbreaks. I know my RCR guys r gonna get after it this winter n we’ll come back stronger nxt season. Grateful for all of our partners, helping us do what we love. Thx Rowdy Nation for sticking w me. Y’all r the best.💯"

The Clash at Bowman Gray is scheduled for February 2, when all the drivers will return after their winter break. Catch the race on FOX, MRN, and SiriusXM NASCAR channel.
