Cole Custer is ready for his NASCAR Cup Series return with the Haas Factory Team in 2025 after two years
The last couple of years in NASCAR had been a roller coaster for the 26-year-old Ladera Ranch, California, native. He spent three full-time seasons in the Cup Series from 2020 to 2022 at Stewart-Haas Racing (SHR), where he managed to win a race at Kentucky Speedway and earned two top fives in 108 starts during that period.
After that, SHR demoted Cole Custer to the Xfinity Series for the 2023 and 2024 seasons. In the 2023 season, he won three races, including the Championship 4 season finale at Phoenix Raceway, to become champion that season. The following season, he won two races and finished the season in second place in the championship standings.
Last year, Custer welcomed the opportunity to return to the Cup Series with the Haas Factory Team, which is a reorganization of former Cup Series team Stewart-Haas Racing. He will drive the #41 Ford Mustang in 2025 with an aim to make every race count and to establish his name in NASCAR’s top-level series.
