Chase Briscoe found himself in an awkward spot recently when NASCAR posted a hatless photo of him. Following his P2 finish at the USA Today 301 in New Hampshire, Briscoe and Josh Berry, who also finished on the podium, exchanged smiles after the race as NASCAR clicked their picture and posted it on X.

The season hasn't been the perfect one for Chase Briscoe, but he has managed to secure four top-10 finishes and two top-5s out of his 18 starts. Josh Berry, on the other hand, has mirrored Briscoe's record with two top-5s and two top-10s, one of which was a third-place finish at New Hampshire.

In an attempt to showcase the same, NASCAR posted a picture of the happiness in the Stewart-Haas Racing camp. However, Chase Briscoe got embarrassed because of that, since it was an un-hat picture of him, in which everyone could see his partially bald head. Sharing it on his X, Briscoe hysterically wrote:

"Dang y’all [NASCAR] did me dirty posting a non hat picture😂 Maybe it’s time to call Joey and join the new hair club or just shave it all together."

Joey Logano faced a similar challenge with his hair, grappling with alopecia and early baldness. Fortunately, he found a solution through HairClub, which helped him address the issue.

Chase Briscoe gave the credit for his podium finish to the rain

Chase Briscoe, who began the USA Today 301 at New Hampshire in 23rd position, managed a second-place finish. Reflecting on the unexpected events, Briscoe attributed his success to the weather conditions, stating:

"The rain saved us for sure. We were terrible in the dry and we knew, you know, typically on the road course isn't even the ovals that we ran in the rain. We've been pretty good truthfully. I didn't expect to drive up to second. But yeah, really good recovery as far as that forward. Cool for them too, this their first time ever in the sport and to come away with a chance at a win," via NASCAR.

Chase Briscoe wrapped up Stage 1 in P27 place and improved slightly to P22 in Stage 2. But after racing resumed following a rain delay with 82 laps remaining, Briscoe took full advantage of the wet weather conditions. By lap 293, he had surged to 5th position, right behind Josh Berry in 6th. Addressing the same, Briscoe commented:

"If you had told me two hours ago that we would run second, I don't think I would have believed you. But overall, yeah, great, great day for us."

The finish pushed Chase Briscoe up to P16 in the driver standings, now with 405 points, trailing the chart leader, Kyle Larson, by 215 points. Next, Briscoe is set to compete at Nashville, a track where he's historically struggled, averaging 32.0 across three starts, with his best finishes being 31st in both 2023 and 2021.
