Kyle Busch said he was a "proud dad" after son Brexton's victory.
A day after his nine-year-old son's biggest win, Kyle Busch was still in awe of what Brexton accomplished. The driver of the #8 Richard Childress Racing Chevrolet took to Instagram on Sunday to express how proud he was.
The 63-time NASCAR Cup Series winner posted photos following Brexton's win and penned a caption that read:
"24 hours later, and I still couldn’t be more proud of @brextonbusch. Biggest moment of his career and he drove a perfect race. All the hard work he and the guys put in all year paid off. Just a really proud dad right now."
Busch led all 20 laps in the Junior Sprint A-Main and held off runner-up Jax Whittmer to capture the victory. He also competed against Owen Larson, the son of 2021 Cup Series champion Kyle Larson, who finished sixth in the main event.
For the elder Busch, the 2025 Cup Series season will be the Las Vegas native's third season at RCR. He will be seeking to snap a winless streak that dates back to June 2023.
