"We've accomplished a lot" - Ricky Stenhouse Jr. reflected on five years with Kroger
Ricky Stenhouse Jr. won the Talladega race in the No. 47 Kroger Racing Camaro this year and ended the season at 25th in the final standings. He had three top-5 and six top-10 finishes in 2024.
Stenhouse Jr. has extended his contract with JTG Daugherty Racing for the next season but Kroger ended its sponsorship with the team after supporting him for five years. Stenhouse thanked Kroger in a post before the final race at Pheonix and wrote:
"I want to say thank you to our @KrogerRacing partners for the past 5 years. It’s been awesome to get to know everyone at all of these brands. Thanks for everything."
Stenhouse won the 2023 Daytona 500 and the Talladega Playoff race with Kroger.
"We've accomplished a lot in what feels like a short amount of time. From our very first press conference we had announcing me as the driver for the No. 47 Kroger Chevrolet to winning the pole at the Daytona 500 on Pole Day... it was a lot of fun going to New York, promoting the sport of NASCAR, and working with our partners in the Kroger Racing program. To winning the Daytona 500, that was I think, my biggest accomplishment," Stenhouse Jr. said.
Stenhouse Jr. started racing for JTG Daugherty Racing in 2020, driving the No. 47 car. Last year, Stenhouse won his third career race at the Daytona 500 and made it to the playoffs for the first time since 2017. However, he was eliminated after the Round of 16.
