Ricky Stenhouse Jr. looking for improvements in 2025 after an abysmal recent season

The 37-year-old Memphis, Tennessee, native started the 2023 season in style with a prestigious Daytona 500 victory and reached the playoffs but took a step back in the 2024 season. He failed to qualify for the playoffs and finished 25th in the Cup Series points table.

Speaking to SiriusXM NASCAR Radio about the 2025 season, Ricky Stenhouse Jr. said that he's focusing on improved results in the upcoming season. He's looking forward to replicating the 2023 regular season’s consistency.

“Definitely looking forward and trying to get our performance back to kind of the 2023 season. I felt like obviously starting with a win at the 500 (Daytona 500) was huge, but I think we averaged a 14th-place finish throughout most of the regular season, and that’s something we want to get back to, something that we failed to do this year. Just needed speed in our car, and we’re using the offseason to deep dive into that and figure out where we went wrong and how to correct that,” Stenhouse Jr. said.

JTG Daugherty Racing has been rebranded to HYAK Motorsports with Gordon Smith, a beginnig of new era for Stenhouse Jr. and his #47 team.
