Former NASCAR team owner and millionaire Tony Stewart’s wife uploaded a picture on her Instagram with her husband and dog on December 17th. Stewart’s wife Leah Pruett is a 12-time NHRA National event champion and is currently a part-time NHRA top fuel racer for her husband's team.
Pruett shared the picture with Tony Stewart in her story where the couple can be seen posing in front of a Christmas tree. Stewart held his pet Australian Shepherd named Cash in his hand as his wife wrapped her hands around the dog. All three were looking at the camera and were smiling for the photo with Cash having his tongue out.
Stewart’s wife flaunted a gorgeous black gown in the story. Pruett's gown had two layers to it. The underneath layer was made out of opaque black cloth and the top layer was a transparent net with elegant black designs stitched on top of it. She accessorized her outfit with red earrings. The former NASCAR champion dressed up in a red shirt with a black check pattern, paired with blue jeans and all-black shoes.
Leah Pruett divorced her ex-husband Gary Pritchett in 2019 and got engaged to Tony Stewart in March of 2021. Later that year, on November 21st, 2021, the NHRA racer married the former NASCAR team owner. She gave birth to her first son with Stewart on November 19th earlier this year and named him Dominic James Stewart.
Earlier this year, Tony Stewart announced the closure of his NASCAR team Stewart-Haas Racing. Gene Haas, co-owner of SHR, kept one charter with the other three up for sale.
“People have made inquiries”: Motorsport Journalist details the interest in Tony Stewart’s SHR charters
23XI and Front Row Motorsports are reported to be the lead contenders for the SHR charters. However, two of these charters have been put on hold by NASCAR following the ongoing lawsuit. Motorsports Journalist Jordan Bianchi came out and suggested that other teams had inquired about Tony Stewart’s former team's charter.
Bianchi said, (via The Teardown on Dale Earnhardt Jr's Dirty Mo Media YouTube channel)
“The SHR part is certainly interesting and I don't think you would necessarily see a lawsuit from SHR. From my understanding and the conversations I've had with people... people have made inquiries about those charters. Like, 'Hey, are those available? If they're available we're interested in them.'" (7:31 onwards)
He continued, “I don't think that SHR's going to be in a spot of like, 'What are we going to do here? We don't want these. We're in scramble mode.' I think they're going to have suitors for them. The problem is we're in mid-December and the season starts in what, eight weeks or whatever it is. And so you've got a lot to sort out between then.”
Stewart-Haas Racing will be rebranding itself to Haas Factory Racing for the 2025 Cup series season and running the one charter entry kept by Gene Haas. Tony Stewart has left the team after decades of success in the series as a driver and team owner.
