Modern Family star Eric Stonestreet recently shared his awe-inspiring NASCAR experience from earlier this month with retired driver Kevin Harvick. The 52-year-old American actor attended the Cup Series AdventHealth 400 race at Kansas Speedway.

NASCAR is renowned for offering fans an experience unlike any other sport, allowing them to get exceptionally close to their favorite drivers and the action on the track.

Recently, Hollywood star Eric Stonestreet, known for his role as Cameron Tuckers in the ABC Sitcom "Modern Family," found himself in attendance for the Cup Series AdventHealth 400 race at Kansas Speedway.

Elaborating on his experience while attending the race won by Kyle Larson, Stonestreet told Kevin Harvick in the "Happy Hours" podcast:

"The access in NASCAR is unrivaled. I couldn't believe it the first time I went to a NASCAR race. I was like, ‘That's the car right there. That's Jeff Gordon right over there.' I couldn't believe that everyone was this close."

Stonestreet, who has a personal connection with the Kansas City Chiefs, compared the NASCAR experience to that of other sports. He told Kevin Harvick:

"I'm a little close to the stuff with the Chiefs, but the average fan isn't that close. Like, I might go down on the field before the game every once in a while and say hi. I would never approach Coach [Andy] Reid before the game. And to know that, like fans can say ‘Hey, have a good game Kevin' and you're high-fiving, and you're taking a picture. I'm standing next to you during the national anthem, we're all right there. And then you literally go from, 'Alright, see you guys' into the car, 200 mph. That's mind-blowing to me from that sport's perspective."

Who is Kevin Harvick's pick for the NASCAR All-Star race?

Harvick, who retired from the sport last season, has transitioned smoothly into a broadcasting role. The 48-year-old is clearly enjoying his new venture, providing commentary for Fox Sports during Cup races and hosting his "Happy Hours" podcast. Recently, Harvick shared his predictions for the upcoming NASCAR All-Star Race at North Wilkesboro Speedway. He said:

"I'm going to pick William Byron because he did the entire test there, and I think those guys are going to have a little bit of an advantage." (50:44)

"And I'm going to go a little bit further. I'm going to say the 11 wins the pit stop competition and gets the pole, and Ty Gibbs will win the qualifying race."

Notably, Kevin Harvick will make a brief return to the track this weekend, filling in for Hendrick Motorsports driver Kyle Larson during the All-Star practice race. The 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion is currently preparing for his debut at the Indy 500 later this month.
