NASCAR driver Bubba Wallace and his wife Amanda Carter are expecting their first child together. Amanda recently shared a "bumpdate" on Instagram about their joy and excitement.
In a series of stories, she expressed the joy of becoming a mother and how she will already miss being pregnant once the baby arrives in October.
"Bumpdate: Growing this little baby has been the most wonderful experience of my life," Amanda wrote.
"I can't even describe how it feels. Feeling very blessed these days. I know when he's here I'm gonna miss this big ol' belly and feeling his kicks," she added.
Bubba Wallace and Amanda met in high school but only started dating in 2016. They got engaged in June 2021 during a hike through Latourell Falls Trailhead State Park in Oregon and tied the knot on New Year's Eve the following year.
Wallace said, "Getting married and starting a new life together – I’m just so excited to have a good one in my corner. We have so much fun together."
They announced their pregnancy in April this year with several photos including an ultrasound image. The caption had a striking poem: "Spring has sprung. Summer will be rad. Fall is the first time, we’ll be mom and dad!"
Amanda is a former financial analyst at Bank of America with a bachelor's degree in finance and banking from Appalachian State University. She is now an artist and shares her oil paintings on an art account on Instagram.
Amanda has also been sharing updates on her social media throughout her pregnancy. Recently, she also shared a sweet moment with their Australian shepherd-poodle puppy, Asher, whom they adopted in July 2020.
She wrote, "This is odd behavior for Asher; he randomly came up to cuddle on my belly. 99% of the time, he will only lay behind my head. I think he finally senses the baby."
When Bubba Wallace found humor in wife's previous lighthearted comments about 'worst' time to have their first child
Bubba Wallace and his wife are eagerly awaiting the arrival of their baby boy. He is due in October, right around Bubba's birthday on October 8.
On X (formerly Twitter), Bubba Wallace joked,
"'Wife: 'It would be the worst to have a baby on your birthday/birthday week.' Me: 'well damn…okay' Coming…my birthday week🤣🤣🤣."
Many fans reacted with congratulations to the tweet and shared their own experiences with birthdays around their children.
One fan tweeted, “My daughter’s birthday is a week before mine. It will help you to remember your own birthday in the future 😂.”
