The three-time NASCAR Cup Series champion Tony Stewart recently announced an exciting opportunity for racing enthusiasts to experience a day in the life of a racecar driver while supporting a great cause. Stewart is inviting fans to participate in the event named “Smoke Show,” a charity event at Texas Motor Speedway.
The Smoke Show will be held on Wednesday, October 9, 2024. This event will offer a unique experience to learn to drive a real NASCAR stock car race with NASCAR legend Stewart and veteran NASCAR Xfinity and Truck Series driver David Starr.
On Tuesday, Tony Stewart posted a video on X, sharing the details about the event and saying:
“It's that time of year again, my favorite day of the year by far, because not only will we have a blast together, we'll also raise a ton of money for Speedway Children's Charities.
"Join me, Tony Stewart, at the Texas Motor Speedway for the Smoke Show, Wednesday, October 9th, for the Ultimate Fantasy Camp. We'll teach you how to drive a real NASCAR stock car, and I'll give you the most ultimate thrill ride ever.”
The Tony Stewart Smoke Show is going to be a great opportunity for all those racing enthusiasts who want to fulfill their dreams of driving NASCAR race car as well as getting up close with former NASCAR and IndyCar Series champion.
The event first started in 2008 with an aim to raise money for Speedway Children's Charities, an organization dedicated to improving the lives of children.
Tony Stewart’s team driver honored his legacy in the No. 14 for the final time at Indianapolis Motor Speedway
Chase Briscoe expressed his emotions on honoring Tony Stewart's legacy in #14 for Stewart-Haas Racing for the final time during the recently concluded Brickyard 400 at the famous Indianapolis Motor Speedway. Briscoe drove the #14 Ford, a car number associated with his current boss Stewart, and ended up finishing 24th last weekend.
Expressing his emotions ahead of the race, Briscoe said (via Cup Scene’s YouTube channel):
“It's going to be emotional for me, I mean full transparency. I cry every year just on the ride around deal so with it being on the oval and doing it in the 14 all that it's going to be definitely, probably emotional."
It will be the last season for Stewart-Haas Racing in NASCAR, as they are shutting down their operation at the end of the season.
