The 2023 NASCAR Cup Series heads to Concord, North Carolina, this weekend after an action-packed All-Star Race.
The Coca-Cola 600 is the 14th NASCAR Cup Series race of the season as well as the third of the four crown jewel races. It will be held on Sunday (May 28) at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. The race is scheduled to kick off at 6 pm ET and will be broadcast on FOX and PRN.
The event will be contested over 400 laps at the Charlotte Motor Speedway. It marks the 126th Cup race hosted by the 1.5-mile-long track in the history of the Cup Series.
The Charlotte Motor Speedway consists of 24 degrees of banking in the turns and five degrees of banking on the straightaways.
NASCAR journalist Bob Pockrass recently took to Twitter to share an entry list of drivers taking part in the 2023 Coca-Cola 600.
A total of 37 cars will take on the green flag this week, and five drivers have changed on this weekend’s docket: #15 Rick Ware Racing’s JJ Yeley, #38 Front Row Motorsports Zane Smith, #51 Rick Ware Racing’s Todd Gilliland, #78 Live Fast Motorsports’ BJ McLeod, and NASCAR legend Jimmie Johnson, who will make his third start of the season, driving the #84 Chevrolet Camaro for Legacy Motor Club.
Joe Gibbs Racing driver Denny Hamlin won last year’s Coca-Cola 600 and finished with a total time of five hours, 13 minutes, and eight seconds.
