The NASCAR All-Star Open and All-Star Race marks the second exhibition race of the 2023 Cup Series season. The green flag for the All-Star Open and All-Star Race is set to drop on Sunday, May 21, at 5:30 pm ET and 8:00 pm ET, respectively, at North Wilkesboro Speedway.
A total of 16 drivers will be competing over 100 laps in the Open race, while 21 drivers will compete over 200 laps in the main event. This will be the first NASCAR race at North Wilkesboro Speedway since 1996. Last year, the All-Star Race ran at Texas Motor Speedway, where Ryan Blaney emerged victorious.
The 0.625-mile short oval track features 14 degrees of banking in turns and three degrees of banking in straights.
Heading to North Wilkesboro Speedway, Kyle Larson, who won the All-Star Race in 2021, stands at the top of the odds table to win Sunday’s All-Star Race, at +650 odds, according to DraftKings Nation.
Kevin Harvick and the defending Cup champion Joey Logano hold the second-highest odds at +750, followed by Christopher Bell at +900, William Byron at +1000, Martin Truex Jr. at +1000, and Denny Hamlin at +1100 in the top five highest odds.
Blaney, who won the All-Star Race in 2022, holds the eighth-highest odds at +1800 to win this weekend in North Wilkesboro. Chase Elliott, the defending champion of the NASCAR Cup Series regular season, is coming off with the sixth-highest odds at +1400.
2023 Daytona 500 winner Ricky Stenhouse Jr. has the 13th-highest odds at +6500 to win on Sunday.
The first 13 NASCAR Cup races of the 2023 season have seen nine different winners — Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Kyle Busch, William Byron, Joey Logano, Tyler Reddick, Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell, Martin Truex Jr., and Denny Hamlin.
Byron is the only driver who has won three races so far this season, while Larson and Busch won two times.
