After two playoff rounds, the 2023 NASCAR Cup Series season heads to Las Vegas, Nevada, for the first race of Round of 8 – the South Point 400.
The seventh playoff race of the season is expected to be very exciting, as the Next Gen car will run for the fourth time at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.
The Las Vegas Motor Speedway is an intermediate tri-oval track with a length of 1.5-miles and is a 20 degrees of banking in each turn and 9-12 degrees on the front and backstretch.
The South Point 400 can be watched live on NBC and PRN. The race starts on Sunday, Oct. 15, at 2:30 pm ET. Along with the win, all the competing drivers in Las Vegas, Nevada will be racing for monetary incentives.
This year, the Cup Series race in Las Vegas, Nevada, has a prize pool of $7,785,320, while the Xfinity winning teams will be awarded with $1,329,729.
Motorsport journalist Bob Pockrass shared the total prize money pool that will be up for grabs at NASCAR's Las Vegas weekend:

The NASCAR Cup Series action in Las Vegas, Nevada, begins with practice at 12:35 pm ET on Saturday, (Oct. 14), followed by the qualifying race at 1:20 pm ET and finishes with the main event on Sunday. The practice and qualifying of this weekend can be watched live on USA Network and PRN.
Drivers who advanced into the Round of 8 include William Byron, Martin Truex Jr., Denny Hamlin, Ryan Blaney, Chris Buescher, Tyler Reddick, Kyle Larson and Christopher Bell.
Which NASCAR driver is the favorite to win the South Point 400?
Heading to the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, Kyle Larson occupied the top position on the board as the favorite to win the 400-mile race. The #5 Chevrolet driver has odds of +450 to win Sunday’s race, according to dknetwork.draftkings.com.
William Byron and Denny Hamlin have the second-highest odds at +550, followed by Tyler Reddick at +750, Martin Truex Jr. at +750, Christopher Bell at +1000, Ryan Blaney at +1300, and Kyle Busch at +1300, who round out the top five.
