The 2023 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series Tyson 250 is finally done and dusted. The tenth race of the season, with a total of 36 entries, started at 1:30 pm ET on Saturday, May 20. The race took place at the North Wilkesboro Speedway and lasted for two hours, 17 minutes, and 25 seconds.
Driving the #7 Chevrolet Silverado for Spire Motorsports, Kyle Larson clinched his first win of the 2023 Truck Series season in overtime at the 0.625-mile short oval track.
The 30-year-old led 138 of 252 laps and took the checkered flag by an impressive 0.974 seconds margin ahead of ThorSport Racing driver Ty Majeski. The win marked his third in 15 NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series starts.
Speaking about his victory, Larson said:
“It was a really fun track there, especially in the truck where you can use the apron and such at both ends. I had a good time. That was a lot of fun on the long runs.”
Meanwhile, Ty Majeski secured the season-best P2 finish, Matt DiBenedetto, Carson Hocevar, and Bubba Wallace in the top five.
Corey Heim (the Stage 1 winner), Matt Crafton, Chase Purdy, Ross Chastain, and Grant Enfinger rounded the top 10.
Saturday’s Tyson 250 saw six lead changes among five drivers and witnessed 12 cautions for 81 laps.
