NASCAR 2024: Full weekend schedule for Go Bowling at The Glen at Watkins Glen International

The Go Bowling at The Glen is set to take place at the Watkins Glen International on Sunday, September 15. The 220-mile race will be telecast on USA Network and NBC Sports at 3 pm ET.

Located in Watkins Glen, International, it will be the 28th race of the 2024 NASCAR season and the second race of the 2024 NASCAR playoffs. It will see the Next Gen car in action for the third time at Watkins Glen. The road course race is divided into three stages. Stage 1 ends on lap 20, Stage 2 consists of 20 laps and the Final Stage consists of 50 laps.

The Watkins Glen International is a 2.45-mile-long road course featuring 7 turns with 141 feet of total elevation change.

The Watkins Glen track hosted its first NASCAR Cup Series race in 1957. Buck Baker won the inaugural Go Bowling at The Glen at Watkins Glen International.

It will be the 38th Cup Series race hosted by Watkins Glen International. The 38 drivers entering this week’s Cup Series race will compete across 90 laps in 220 miles. The NASCAR Cup Series weekend will begin with a practice session and qualifying session on Saturday (September 14), followed by the main event the following day.

Hendrick Motorsports driver William Byron will enter as the defending winner of the event after securing a thrilling victory in last year’s Go Bowling at The Glen.

NASCAR legend Tony Stewart holds the record for most Go Bowling at The Glen wins with five. He won the event in 2002, 2004–2005, 2007, 2009. Stewart is followed by another NASCAR legend, Jeff Gordon, with four wins.

Kyle Busch, Chase Elliott, and Kyle Larson are the only three active drivers who have won multiple Watkins Glen races.
