NASCAR 2024: Here’s what Friday’s schedule at Bristol Motor Speedway looks like

The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series are scheduled to be on the 0.5-mile shortest oval on Friday, September 20. The action of the third Cup playoff weekend kicks off at Bristol Motor Speedway.

The NASCAR Xfinity Series drivers and teams will compete in practice and qualifying before concluding the day with the 300-lap main event today.

The NASCAR Cup Series drivers will also take part in practice qualifying before hitting the track for the Bass Pro Shops Night Race on Saturday, September 21.

Denny Hamlin and Justin Allgaier are the defending winners of the Cup and Xfinity events at Bristol, respectively.

The weather forecast on Friday at Bristol predicts clear skies with a high temperature of 73 degrees and a 3 percent chance of rain at the start of the Xfinity race.
