The NASCAR Truck Series driver will participate in a practice and qualifying before concluding the day with the 85-lap main event today.
Tricon Garage driver Corey Heim is the Truck Series points leader. Nick Sanchez is fourth in the points table, holding the final spot above the cutline.
The Xfinity and Cup teams will be on track on Saturday for their respective qualifying races and Xfinity race.
The weather forecast on Friday at Talladega predicts mostly cloudy skies during the day with a high temperature of 80 degrees and a 15 percent chance of rain at the start of the Truck Series race.
