NASCAR 2024: Here’s what Saturday’s Cup and Xfinity schedule at Atlanta Motor Speedway looks like

The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series are scheduled to be on the 1.54-mile-long track on Saturday, September 7. The action of the first Cup playoff weekend kicks off at Atlanta Motor Speedway.

Xfinity Series drivers and teams will compete in qualifying before concluding the day with the 163-lap main event today.

The NASCAR Cup Series drivers will also take part in qualifying before hitting the track for the Quaker State 400 on Sunday, September 8.

William Byron and John Hunter Nemechek are the defending winners of the Cup and Xfinity events in the Atlanta Fall race, respectively. However, Nemechek is not taking part in the Xfinity event this year.

The weather forecast on Saturday in Atlanta predicts partly cloudy skies with a high temperature of 82 degrees and a 15 percent chance of rain at the start of the Xfinity race.
