NASCAR 2024: Here’s what Saturday’s Cup and Xfinity schedule at Michigan International Speedway looks like

The 2024 NASCAR Cup Series and Xfinity Series are scheduled to be on the two-mile-long D-shaped oval track on Saturday, August 17. The action of season’s 24th weekend continues at Michigan International Speedway.

Xfinity Series drivers and teams will compete in the 250-mile main event today. Sheldon Creed and Riley Herbst will start in the front row.

The NASCAR Cup Series drivers will take part in practice and qualifying before hitting the track for FireKeepers Casino 400 on Sunday, August 18.

Chris Buescher and John Hunter Nemechek are the defending winners of the Cup and Xfinity events in the Michigan race, respectively.

The weather forecast on Saturday at Michigan predicts a chance of thunderstorms with a high temperature of 74 degrees and a 24 percent chance of rain at the start of the Xfinity race.
