Nineteen races have taken place in the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. Joey Logano, the two-time Cup champion, claimed his first win of the season after winning the Ally 400 at the Nashville Superspeedway on Sunday, June 30.
In a chaotic race that saw the record five overtimes in Cup history, Logano survived it and stretched his fuel an amazing 110 laps to cross the finish line in P1.
With the win, Logano gained 40 points and clinched his berth in the 2024 playoffs. He moved to 14th place in the points table with 470 points.
After finishing P8 at Ally 400, Kyle Larson secured 44 points and maintained the top spot in the points table. He has a 20-point lead over his teammate Chase Elliott with 644 points.
Denny Hamlin, who started on pole, failed to utilize his advantage and finished 12th. He gained 41 points and is third in the points table with 621 points and three wins.
Ryan Blaney, the defending NASCAR Cup Series champion, finished P6. He gained 34 points and is eighth in the points table with 560 points.
Ross Chastain, the defending winner of the event, finishes 33rd. He stands 11th in the points table with 514 points.
