Cook Out 400 marks the 23rd race of the 2024 NASCAR Cup Series season. The green flag will drop at 6 pm ET on Sunday, August 11, at the Richmond Raceway.
The 0.75-mile short track comprises 14 degrees of banking in turns 1-4, eight degrees on the frontstretch, and two degrees on the backstretch. Richmond Raceway hosts NASCAR’s three national series, the Cup, Xfinity, and Truck Series.
A total of 37 drivers will contest over 400 laps in this week’s Cup Series race. This will be the 67th annual event hosted by the Richmond Raceway in the NASCAR Cup Series.
Heading to Richmond Raceway, Joe Gibbs Racing drivers Christopher Bell and Martin Truex Jr. are the favorites, per odds table, at +450, to win the Cook Out 400 this week, according to motorsportswire.com.
Hendrick Motorsports Kyle Larson and JGR driver Denny Hamlin have the second-highest odds, at +600, to win on Sunday. Hamlin won the Richmond Spring race. They are followed by Joey Logano at +1100, William Byron at +1200, the defending NASCAR Cup Series champion Ryan Blaney at +1200, Chase Elliott at +1200, and Brad Keselowski at +1400 in the top five odds.
Chris Buescher, the defending winner at Richmond, is coming this weekend with the sixth-highest odds at +1600. NASCAR veteran Kyle Busch is the most successful active driver at Richmond with six wins.
