NASCAR 2024: Qualifying order for the GEICO 500 at Talladega Superspeedway

The Talladega Superspeedway is ready to host the 55th annual GEICO 500 this weekend. The 10th race of the 2024 season begins at 3 pm ET on Sunday, April 21, in a 500-mile action-packed contest.

Located in Lincoln, Alabama, the Talladega Superspeedway boasts the tri-oval longest track on the schedule, which is 2.66 miles. The track opened in 1969 and features 33 degrees of banking in the turns, 16.5 degrees of banking on the tri-oval, and 3 degrees on the backstretch.

Apart from making one of the two appearances on the Cup Series calendar this year, the Talladega track will also host the Xfinity Series and ARCA Menards Series races this weekend.

The GEICO 500 will feature 38 drivers. Unlike the other NASCAR races, the qualifying sessions will open this race weekend on Saturday at 10:30 am ET on FS1, which will determine the starting positions for Sunday's race.
