Nineteen races have taken place in the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. Reigning NASCAR Xfinity Series champion Cole Custer became the latest driver to win this season after winning Explore The Pocono Mountains 225 at the Pocono Raceway on Saturday, July 13.
In a thrilling Pocono race, Custer won after beating JR Motorsports’ Justin Allgaier with nine laps remaining and held the rest of the field to cross the finish line in P1 without any challenge.

After the win, Custer gained 59 points and locked his berth for the 2024 playoffs. He maintained the top spot in the Xfinity standings. He has a 51-point lead over Justin Allgaier with 716 points.
Sheldon Creed, who started on pole, failed to utilize the advantage and finished P4. He gained 38 points and moved to eighth place in the points table with 543 points.
Austin Hill, the defending winner of the event, couldn’t repeat his last year’s heroics and finished P7. He gained 43 points and moved to fourth place with 640 points.
Rookie driver Jesse Love finished 22nd in Explore The Pocono Mountains 225, gained 15 points, and moved to sixth place in the standings with 563 points.
