NASCAR 2024 Xfinity Series: Driver standings after Kansas Lottery 300 at Kansas Speedway

Twenty-seven races have taken place in the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. Aric Almirola, who ran part-time in the Xfinity Series, became the latest race winner of the season after winning the Kansas Lottery 300 at the Kansas Speedway on Saturday, September 28.

In a thrilling race at Kansas, Almirola passed Cole Custer in the closing laps and stayed out front to cross the finish line in P1. With the win, he gained 59 points and locked the #20 Joe Gibbs Racing team into the next round of the owner's playoffs.

After finishing runner-up at Kansas, Cole Custer gained 51 points and regained the top spot in the Xfinity Series playoff standings. He has a five-point lead over Chandler Smith with 2079 points.

Sammy Smith finished 22nd at Kansas, gained 15 points, and stands 12th in the points table with 2016 points. He is 23 points below the cutline.

Chandler Smith, who started on the front row, failed to utilize advantage and finished P3. He gained 50 points and stands second in the standings with 2074 points.
