NASCAR 2024 Xfinity Series: Driver standings after Pennzoil 250 at Indianapolis Motor Speedway

Twenty races have taken place in the 2024 NASCAR Xfinity Series season. Stewart-Haas Racing driver Riley Herbst became the latest driver to win this season after winning the Pennzoil 250 at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on Saturday, July 20.

In one of the most dramatic NASCAR Xfinity Series finishes at Indianapolis, Herbst grabbed the lead from Aric Almirola on the final corner and escaped with a victory at the 2.5-mile oval track.

After the win, Herbst gained 58 points and locked his berth for the 2024 playoffs. He moved to fifth place in the Xfinity standings with 618 points.

With a runner-up finish, Cole Custer gained 45 points and maintained the top spot in the Xfinity standings. He has a 56-point lead over Justin Allgaier with 761 points.

Shane van Gisbergen finished fourth on his Indy Oval debut and gained 37 points. He currently stands 13th in the points table with 500 points.

Rookie driver Jesse Love finished 13th in Pennzoil 250, gained 24 points, and moved to seventh place in the standings with 587 points.
